Brittany L. Hayes, Ph.D. Director, Applied Technology
Brittany Hayes brings extensive expertise to Recro Gainesville as the applied technology director, with 18 years of experience in the areas of contract manufacturing (drug substance and drug product), pharmaceutical and API development, business development, contract management, and organic chemistry. Brittany is responsible for providing technical support to the business development team, developing training for new service offerings, and enhancing new client onboarding and knowledge transfer by liaising with business development executives and project managers.
Prior to joining Recro Gainesville, Brittany held leadership positions at various contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), including Regis Technologies, DSM/Patheon/Thermo Fisher, Formex, Ricerca, and Azopharma. Most recently, Brittany was executive director, global business development at Regis Technologies and responsible for managing the business development team for the global API business, leading technical and sales training, and implementing several initiatives to optimize contract management. Brittany excels at driving technical decision-making for successful pharmaceutical product development.
Brittany earned her Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC) and her B.S. degree in chemistry from Emory University (Atlanta, GA). She also was an American Heart Association postdoctoral fellow at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Medicinal Chemistry & Pharmacognosy. Brittany has been an active member of the American Chemical Society since 1995.
